He was predeceased by: his father J. W. Spears, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Emily Spears; his children, Liz Spears, Chrystal Hamilton (Gavin), Ariel Spears, John Spears, IV and Cynthia Daugherty (Walt); his siblings, Steven Spears and Sherry Spears; and his grandchildren, Maggie, Elly, Raelyn, Wyatt and Cierryn. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
