He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeter Lamar Hertz, Sr. and Ethel Cumba Hertz; and his brother Wesley Hertz. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Canterbury Hertz; his children, Jeter Hertz, III, Anthony Hertz, Billy Hertz, Andy Hertz, Shannon Wicker (Steve), Jennifer Kellams (Noel), Kelly Lowery (Shannon) and Jeremy Patton; his grandchildren, Kamilah Hertz, Justice Hertz, Trevor Lowery, Madelynn Lowery, Makenna Patton, Gabe Patton and Warner Patton; and his siblings, Guerry Hertz, Sr. and Deborah Hertz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
