With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gernard Gowdy (Crawfordville, Florida), who passed away on August 12, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Leland Gowdy (AL); his wife Joan Amato; and his sisters, Eunice Long and Irma Welch. He is survived by: his children, Chuck Duncan of Crawfordville, Florida and Beverly Savage (Roger) of Crawfordville, Florida; his siblings, Gilbert Gowdy of Crawfordville, Florida, Richard Gowdy of Crawfordville, Florida, Gerry Gowdy of Crawfordville, Florida, Joseph Amato, Christine Gowdy of Tallahassee and Hellen Schweinsberg of Woodville; his grandchildren, April Rester (Hogan) and Stacey Porter (T. J.); and his great grandchildren, Corbin, Clint, Jaxson and Faith.
