Matthew Burnette wrote a sympathy message

“For the last 20 years, George was one of my closest friends, and a great mentor. - He spent most of his life wrenching on antique cars. He was good at it, and he enjoyed sharing his knowledge. A lot of what I know about restoring old cars, I learned from George. - Whether it was inviting me over for Thanksgiving dinner, teaching me how to rebuild an engine, or giving me (terrible) dating advice, he was always a good friend and happy to help out.”
