He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Herring; his children, Cherish Deal, Durwood A. Herring Jr. (Woody) and Amy Roeder (Dustin); and his siblings, Laura Ellen Bradley, Joyce Stewart and Sherwin Herring (Becky). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
