He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Patterson; his parents, David Brentson and Lula Mae Patterson; and his siblings, James, Luther, Clara Ann, Martha and Bettie Lou.
He is survived by: his children, Deidre Walker (Steve) of Crawfordville and David Ray Patterson II of Tallahassee; his grandsons, Richard Walker of Crawfordville, Joshua Walker (Kalin) of Lloyd and Andrew Walker of Westerly, RI; his great grandchild Beckett; and his siblings, Billy Patterson (Merl) of Port Neches and Patricia Fontenot (Steve) of Humble. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.
