He is survived by: his wife Terri Thomas Mercer; his mother Marion Mercer; his children, Justin Mercer (Marion), Ashley Poston (Will), Missy Nobles and April Orama; and his siblings, Gay Lewis (Buzzy), Suzanne Bosbikian (Malcolm) and Ed Mercer (Frankie). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
