He is survived by: his children, Charlie Carter (Schlenia) and Hope Salas (Bookie); his stepchildren, Scott Gaby (Julie), Paula Johnson (John) and Kevin Gaby (Kerry); and his grandchildren, Crystal Wood (Marshall), Steven Carter (Josi), Hailey Salas and Tyler Salas. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren.
