He is survived by: his wife Esther Smith; his son Mark Smith (Janet); his grandchildren, Joet Redmon, Susette Loson (John II), Brenda Major, Andrew Loson, John Loson III (Camille), Elyse Pirrone (Matt), Cathy Yergensen (Kyle), Margurite Wesley (Ryan), Shanna Smith, Aaron Redmon (Esmerelda), Jennifer Redmon, Kate Redmon, Matthew Redmon (Maria), Rachel Ruiz (Peter) and Bethany Redmon; and his great grandchildren, Landon, Michael, Ivey, Caleb, Frankie, Issac, John IV, Emily, Chloe and Olivia.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calendar First Baptist Church (3172 Main St, Cottondale, FL 32431).
