Martha B. Kent Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha B. Kent of Cottondale, Florida, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on March 25, 2022 at the age of 73. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Martha B. Kent to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lena Vernell (Darby) and Barney C. Bowen, Jr.; and her stepfather James Dallas "J. D.". She is survived by: her daughter Marsha Kent Rodriguez; her brothers, James Earl Sasser and Allen Harden Bowen; her husband James Burton Kent of Cottondale; her children, Jonathan Wesley Kent of Cottondale and Carol Kent Wyatt (Shane) of Chipley; her brother John Thomas "Tommy" Sasser (Patricia) of Chipley; and her close friend Patricia Harden Hardy (Bill) of Tallahassee. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other extended family members, as well as numerous friends.
Flowers are welcome; however, the family suggests as an alternative that donations be made to Emerald Coast Hospice.
