He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Tharp and Gracie Tharp (Kent); and his sister Shirley Williams. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Tharp of Cottondale, Florida; his children, David Tharp (Shirley) of Cottondale, Florida, Vanessa Wallin of Cottondale and Lisa Cook (Tim) of Graceville, Florida; his siblings, Tommy Tharp (Liz) of Alford, Doug Tharp (Sheryl) of Elba, Alabama, Shelby, Cathrine and Zelma; and his grandchildren, Brentney Satterfield (Dennis Mathis) of Cottondale, Leanna Satterfield of Oregon, Chelsea Wallin of Marianna and Marley Satterfield of Graceville, Florida. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
