He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Land and Louise Land; and his significant other Lynda. He is survived by: his daughter Ginny Smith (Adam); his siblings, Alice Decker and Dene Land (Lydia); his grandchildren, Xander Smith and Stella Smith; his niece Allison Decker Goins (Kevin); and his nephews, Jeremy Land (Stacey), Ryan Land and Drew Decker (Becca).

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Red Bank Lions Club in Gene's memory.
