With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Altman Swain in Coral Gables, Florida, who passed away on August 1, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Calvin Swain; and her son Irl Edward Marcus. She is survived by: her sons, Neil Marcus (Deborah) and Steven Marcus (Nancy); her grandchildren, Gina Marcus Melnick (Ilan), Lauren Marcus Couture (Pierre), Nicole Marcus Douma (Jonathan), Sean Marcus (Elvia) and Matthew Marcus; and her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Jordan Melnick, Jeremy, Andres Couture, Jonathan Jr., Savannah, Charlotte Douma, Dalia and Calista Marcus.

Due to COVID-19, there will be grave side services for the immediate family only.
