He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Sr. Mathews and Norma Mathews (Hedges); his brother Patrick Mathews; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Smith and Edward Kraft.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Mathews (Bracale); his children, Elisa LuBan (Eric) and Raymond E. (Samuel Acosta); his grandchildren, Mason and Josephine LuBan; his siblings, Deborah Kraft, Kenneth Mathews (Eileen Schreck) and Bridget Larocque (Joseph); and his sister-in-law Rita Smith (Bracale).
