He was predeceased by: his eldest Stewart; and his brother Dr. Robert Mendelson. He is survived by: his wife Miriam; his children, Matt Mendelson (Sharon), Andy Mendelson (Jen), Sheli Tinkelman, Scott Tinkelman (Julie) and Kevin Tinkelman (Nanci); his grandchildren, Max, Joel, Alex, Sophia, Mya, Gavin, Chance, Asher, Ryan, Adam and Marli; and his niece Rebecca Schwam (Brian).
