He was predeceased by: his father Genaro Pineda; and his brother Evelio Pineda. He is survived by: his mother Rosalba Novoa; his significant other Heyda Luque; his daughter Valentina Pineda Luque; his brother Evencio Pineda; his nieces and nephews, Maria Paula Fernandez, Juan Sebastian Fernandez and Roxana Pineda; and his sister-in-law Luz Stella Luque (Juan Vilanova).
