He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Applegate and Geneva Applegate; and his siblings, Phyllis Lance, Katherine Everett, Fredrick Applegate, Herbert Applegate, Caroline Applegate, Richard Applegate and John Applegate (Mary Lou Applegate).
He is survived by: his children, Alisa Seiffert, Tina Fraser and Robert F. Applegate; his grandchildren, Ross Michael Carpentier, Jacqueline Higgins, Heather Fraser, Dylan Seiffert, Abryona Applegate, Cody Applegate, Dustin and Amanda Geis; and his great grandchildren, Carla Carpentier, Raelynn Carpentier and Eleanor Higgins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
