He was predeceased by: his children, Sheryl A. Christner, Teresa L. Christner and Harry V. Christner Jr.; his former wife Lurla J. Sanders; and his granddaughter Amber E. Hope.

He is survived by: his daughter Nancy K. Taylor (Roy L. Taylor) of Tenn; his grandchildren, Misty, Billy, Daylin and Lee; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylianne, Darren, Olivia, Westin and Lily (Jan O. Christner); and his stepsons, John Repp (Rebecca) of Tenn and James Repp (Joyce).
