George passed peacefully from this life the morning of January 21st after a brief decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life. George was born in Augusta, GA, but moved to Cocoa, FL at the early age of six where he lived the majority of his life. George attended Cocoa High School (present day Rockledge High School) where he was a football star (known as "Swift Arrow"), a graduate of the Class of 1968, and the 1968 Florida High School Athletic Association's State Wrestling Champion at the heavy weight of 127 pounds. He went on to attend Boston University on a full academic scholarship. He then joined the United States Airforce, and served his country. He mastered karate and judo, and put his own flare to it all. He was a community activist and watchman where he was able to help push the agenda for the people of the community while protecting the community. He was an avid fisherman. He worked at Kennedy Space Center where he met Zina. They married and welcomed Almitra, his only child, the day after his birthday in
1981. He took great pleasure in being a GREAT father to her, and showed her love in action.
