It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Lewis Pollard (Cocoa, Florida), born in Brookneal, Virginia, who passed away on March 28, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Newman A. Pollard and Bernice W. Pollard; his sisters, Virginia Rehovich, Ann Apperson and Betty Ginther; and his grandson Paul Mackey.
He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Sharp Pollard; his sister Peggy Hamlett; and his children, Raimund Pollard, Dawn Pollard Mackey, Shannon Pollard DeAraujo, Larry Brendle and Launa Brendle Young. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Lou requested donations be made to the Missionary Fund of Calvary Baptist Church, 350 Fairmont Drive, Cocoa, FL 32922 where services will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
