Betty J. Lucas Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty J. Lucas of Cocoa, Florida, who passed away on March 28, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Malcolm A. Lucas; her brother Joe Morgan (Wilma); her children, Deborah Goodmon Denton (Tom), Diana Goodmon Hopkins (Jay) and Lance W. Goodmon (Peggy); her grandchildren, Scott Denton (Becky), Patrick Denton (Jacque) and Bethany Crutchfield Castillo (Rene); her great grandchildren, Meagan Denton, Alicia Denton, Maya Denton, Joshua Denton, Maddie Castillo and Katie Castillo; her stepchildren, Angela Lucas Nicoll (Jerry), Carol Lucas Lyndon-Smith (Tree), Desiree Lucas Valentine (Robert) and Terrance Lucas; her stepgranddaughters, Brittany Valentine Musante (Anthony) and Jennifer Valentine; her stepgreat-grandsons, Lao Lyndon-Smith, Hunter Musante and Joseph Musante; her former husband Loyd W. Goodmon; her granddaughter Angela Crutchfield; her sister Loni Morgan; her stepchildren, Kenneth Lucas and Pauline Lucas; and her adoptive father James Morgan.

She was surrounded by her family for the last two weeks of her life after over a year of separation due to the Corona Virus Pandemic.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that gifts be made to St. Francis Reflections Life Stage Care (the hospice that cared for Betty).
