He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Amzey Jones and Bammer Cordelia Noblin Jones; his daughter Brenda Schmidt; and his siblings, Sara Chappell, Jimmy Jones, William Jones and Grady Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Daisy Jones of Hogansville; and his children, Betty Faye Calvo of Tampa, FL, Tommy Edward Jones (Sandra) of Clewiston, FL and Jeff Jones (Tanya) of Hogansville. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
