He was predeceased by: his wife Dorotha Abercrombie; his parents, Boone Abercrombie and Rubi Abercrombie; and his siblings, Charles Abercrombie, Vera Abercrombie and Martha Harris.

He is survived by: his children, Danny Abercrombie (Carmen), Julie Garcia (Eddie), Johnny Abercrombie (Judy) and Jackie Abercrombie (Jessica); and his siblings, Joey Abercrombie, Joan, Lisa Holcomb and Frankie Bordan. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
