She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Turnipseed and Doris Turnipseed; and her husband Gene Hammond. She is survived by: her siblings, Frances Meaders and Wesley Turnipseed, Jr.; her children, Maxwell Scott Hammond (Kathy) and Barbara Lee Jackson (Jeremy); and her grandchildren, Matthew, Mark and Dakotah. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
