He was predeceased by : his parents, Monroe Holt and Caroline Holt; and his siblings, Elizabeth Holt Kelley and Roosevelt Holt. He is survived by : his daughters, Rhonda Holt Little McBride, Melonie Holt Yates and Leslie Holt-Pierce; his sister Naimah Hasan; his grandchildren, Beatrice Mathis (Timothy Mathis Jr.), Alicia Dennis, Eres Pierce and Joseph Yates; his great grandchildren, Morgan Mathis and Maverick Mathis; and also, David McBride, Joseph Yates and Leslie Pierce. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
