She was predeceased by: her husband William Simmons; her son John Simmons; her parents, John Cockrum and Audrey Cockrum; and her brother Harold Cockrum.
She is survived by: her sisters, Betty Johnson (Bob) and Southern of Illinois; and her children, William Simmons, Jr. (Judith), Frances Winiarczyk (Ron) of Clermont, FL. and Jayne Ann Atherton (Dave) of Clermont, FL.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
