He was predeceased by: his wife Diane DeSantis; his children, Robert DeSantis (Pete) and Jennifer Friedrichs; and his siblings, Elmer, Artie, Mike and Kenny DeSantis.
He is survived by: his children, Susan DiCanio (Jimmy) and Joey DeSantis (Teresa); his grandchildren, Teresa Friedrichs, Danielle Morales, David DeSantis, Kyle Kowal, Frank Kowal, Dena Vitagliano (Luke), Dominick DeSantis (Leela) and Anthony DiCanio; and his girlfriend Roberta McCaffrey.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Becker Funeral Home (806 W Minneola Ave, Clermont, FL 34711). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
