He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Ann Phillips; his stepfather Ronald Phillips of Brooksville Florida; and his father Floyd Mull Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Mindy Newsome of Muskogee Oklahoma, Jacob Mull of Brooksville Florida, Lyle Mull of Muskogee Oklahoma, Holli Wares of Tampa Florida and Crystal Wares of Tampa; and his siblings, David Mull, Garth Mull of Brooksville Florida, Toni Bateman of Scottsburg Indiana, Julie Short, Janey Anderson, Melinda Baker and Judy Speach. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
