She was predeceased by: her parents, James Shannon and Lula May Shannon (Chowning); her husband Joseph Armstrong; her siblings, James S. Shannon, Albert Shannon, Willard Shannon and Millie Shafer; her siblings-in-law, Ralph Shafer, Orville Miller, Jr. and Betty Shannon; and her close friend Jerry Tietbohl.
She is survived by: her sister Joy Miller of Alhambra, Illinois; and her sister-in-law Donna Shannon of Sparta, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Templeton Funeral Home - Paris (600 E Court St, Paris, IL 61944). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Embarrass Cemetery.
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to Al-Anon or to a hospice provider of the donor's choice.
