He was predeceased by: his father Rowland "Jim". He is survived by: his sister Marjorie Putman (Mark); his nieces, Sarah Putman, Alison Gambill (Liam) and Abigail Putman; his great-nephews, Logan, Greyson Gambill and Aston "Ace" Martin; his great-niece Charlotte "Chuck" Gambill; his brother Dr. Howard Mertz (Vickie); and his nieces and nephews, Abby and Macy.

A caring and compassionate friend, Bunker had many causes close to his heart and he supported them with his presence at events and donations of items from his vast beer collection.
