With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rose Merit Brewton in Clearwater, Florida, born in Fairfield, Florida, who passed away on August 30, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Willie M. Brewton, Sr.; her children, Willie M. Brewton, Jr. and Margaret Brewton Davis; her parents, Edgar Blount and Veronia Blount; her siblings, Clarence W. Blount, Edgar Blount, Lindbergh Blount, Lula Pompey, Vera Austin and Theola Pompey; and her grandson Willie M. Brewton, III.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Brewton; her grandchildren, Terri Linden, Trena Brewton, Dekoven Belvin, Al Merrick and Clarence Brewton; and her sister Veronia Brown. She is also survived by great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church (1124 Harveys Ln, Clearwater, FL 33756). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bayview Baptist Church (825 Howard St, Clearwater, FL 33756).
