He is survived by: his wife Gearldine E. Merricks; his children, Jonas Clark Merricks, III (Toietta), Kenisha (Antonio), Anitra (Raheen) and Sarita (Gena); his sister Lillie Merricks Henry; his grandchildren, Arkell Jones, Shira Jones, Kobi Jones, Ayanna Mack and Brycen Moore; his great grandchild Javion Hernandez; his aunt Rosetta Merricks; his uncle Adolphus Merricks; his godchildren, Julia Flowers, Elias Armstrong, Graylin Jackson, Marlana Gadson, James Brown and Maggie Williams; his siblings-in-law, Nathaniel Crawford, Jr. (Helen), Elder Earnest Crawford, Sr. (Debbie), Elder Richard Crawford (Valerie) and Georgia Jefferson (Andrew); and his close friends, Ben Hammonds, Carlton Hammonds and Alfred Harris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
