She was predeceased by: her husband Meade Alger Gougeon; her siblings, Peggy Sue Kauffold, Ann Barron, Duane Vaughn and Sandra Urband; and her sons, Gary Conrad Kirkland and Benjamin Perry Gougeon.

She is survived by: her pets, Charlie, Francois, Fanny, George, Molly and Samson; her children, Glenn Kirkland (Anne Michelle), Randy Mortensen (Ryan), Janice Gougeon (Renee), Alan Gurski (Mia), Kwafo Adarkwa (Jae Gougeon) and Laura (Karl Wiegand); her grandchildren, Sarah Millershaski, Emily Sharp (Michael), Brianna, Adina Kirkland, Benjamin, Remington, Bellamy Gougeon, Kelsey Gougeon-Knapp, Jack, Elizabeth, Madeline Gurski, Olivia, Lily Adarkwa and Malaya Gougeon; her great grandchildren, Graham and Violet Millershaski; and her friend James Baldwin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
