He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Foster Sleator and Clyde Ransley Purdy; his former wife Betty Miller Purdy; his wife Patricia Albrecht Purdy; and his siblings, Dorothy Hazel Paul and Clyde Nelson Purdy.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Deborah Paul, Leslie Dickson (Mike), JoAnne Purdy, Stephen Purdy (Joyce), Thomas Purdy (Judy) and Kenneth Paul (Holly); and his stepdaughter Patricia Grondziak. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital or The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie, New York.
