He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Carey and Helen Wetmore Beaven; his sister Barbara Spoehr; and his former wife Mary Higginbotham Beaven. He is survived by: his sons, Mark of Los Angeles and Carey of Roswell, GA; his grandson Chase; his sister Virginia Pacala; and his wife Harriette.
