He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Spoto and Jennie Spoto; his sister Rose Spoto Buonaguro; and his former wife Barbara J Danglise. He is survived by: his wife Katheryn; his children, Peter, Robert, Renata and Anthony; and his stepchildren, Rebecca, Jennifer, Pamela and Matthew. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren.
