Alphonse Lamberto Obituary

Alphonse "Al" Lamberto, a cherished father, partner, brother, and grandfather, passed away on February 15, 2024, in Clearwater, FL, due to a sudden illness. Born on November 18, 1947, in Italy, Al's love for life and friendly demeanor touched everyone he met during his 76 years.

A proud Vietnam Veteran, Al served his country with honor and bravery, an experience that filled him with patriotism.

A man of many passions, Al loved horse racing, fishing, traveling, and telling funny stories. A skilled carpenter by trade, Al was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and family. His legacy lives on through his daughter, Alisa, his son, Joseph and daughter-in-law Jacklyn, his cherished grandson, Matthew, and his loving sister, Joanne. Also survived by his partner, Angelina Macaluso and her family who were by his side for 29 years.

Preceded in death by his parents Giuseppe and Amelia Lamberto.

Always the optimist, Al will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

“We will miss Al very much. Such a fun-loving, jovial guy. During all our 15 years at GV it seemed he was always smiling and had something good to say…from Early morning walks along the water to an evening toast with a good glass of red wine at a party and all of his adventures…crab traps and garage carpentry projects, and wonderful stories of Italy. Cheers to you Al, Until we meet again. Angie and family we are holding you all with lots of love and prayer. —-Michelle and Jeff”

Ananda Pandurangi wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Angie and Al’s family, we are very saddened by Al’s passing away. As neighbors, we have felt helpless for the last few weeks not knowing how we could help Al. We knew Al for 3-years. He was such a fine gentleman. Always smiling. He helped us with many house projects. (For Ananda), Walking with him on the waterside, playing cards and just chit chatting was so much fun. May his soul rest in peace. Please know that Al and you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Rama & Ananda Pandurangi”
