He is survived by: his wife Regina Rome Pitts (Jean); his children, Nancy of Indiana, William of California, Kathleen DeNease of Tucson and Vaughan (Taylor) of Azle; his stepson Steven Rome (Sharla) of Fort Worth, Texas.; his grandchildren, Christiana, Ethan Pitts of Azle, Alexandria Schmidt (Brent) of Austin and Taylor James (Jesse) of Hawaii; his great grandchild Ellie Schmidt; and his siblings, Mary Jean Sanders of Idaho and Robert "Bob" Pitts of Ringtown.
