Thurston; his stepfather Harvey Christianson; his wife Dawn Thurston (Cochran); his son Rodney Thurston; his brother Gerald Thurston; his children, Charlene Ciminero (John Ciminero) of Colorado and Glenn Thurston of Florida; his sisters, Mary Zerves, Ann Schroeder and Etheleen Williamson; and his grandchildren, Amber, Tiffani and Michael.
