He is survived by: his parents, Thomas Tankersley and Beulah Tankersley; his wife Alma Nell Tankersley; his children, Ellen Jo Cortese (Rowland) and Coogan Scott Tankersley; his sister Debbie Peaden; and his grandchildren, Anthony Dalton Cortese, Katelin Nicole Cortese and Jaron Cordele Cortese. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
