He was predeceased by: his parents, Honer Medema and Helen Medema; his daughter Alicia Medema; his sister Diane Medema Roelfs; and his children, Beth Ann and Tommy.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Tochman Sims Medema; his children, Steven Medema (April) and Stacy Hill (Doug); his siblings, Greg Medema (Rita) and Donna Neimi (late Wayne); his grandchildren, Lyndsay, Nate Schweers, Madison Hill, Ryan Stevens, Baleigh Hill, Javan Medema, Hannah and Kole Thurlow; his children, Ivan LaFountain, Kathy, Mike Borden and Julya Sims; his grandchildren, Doug LaFountain, Kyle, Erica LaFountain, Brian, Taylor LaFountain, Jeffrey, Caitlyn LaFountain, Jr., Haynes, Nikki Bergdoll and Luke Sims; and his great grandchildren, Jessica Hickman, Kaia Hickman, Hoyt LaFountain, Parker LaFountain, Lily LaFountain, Landon LaFountain and Amelia LaFountain.
