It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathleen Demerath of Citra, Florida, born in Appleton, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 3, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilford Smith and Cecelia Stephens; and her brothers, Jerry Smith and Henry Smith. She is survived by: her husband Alan Jay Demerath; her children, Dale Alan Demerath of Appleton, Wisconsin, Dawn Marie Fortin (Brett) of Springfield and Dianna Lynn Demerath of Greensboro; her siblings, Joseph Smith of Wisconsin, Charles Smith of Wisconsin, Mary Boelter of Wisconsin, Shirley Hopfensperger of Wisconsin, Charlotte Bavinck of Wisconsin and Grace Cooper of North Carolina; and her half-sister Doris Smith of Washington.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the Florida Baptist Children's Home in Lakeland Florida.
