She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Drake Vallandingham and Edwina Penn; her husband Clarance Marcum; her brother Bill Vallandingham; her son-in-law Frank Howard; and her grandson Glen Lewis.

She is survived by: her children, Larry Marcum (Laura), Wayne Marcum (Carlene), Cherry Lewis and Iva Ray. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren, 1 great-great-great grandchild.
