He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Oliff Tanner, Sr. and Daisy Nettles Tanner; his siblings, Morris Tanner, Coy, Alton, LaVerne Yates, Emmett Tanner, Jr. and Elna Tanner Hawley; and his great grandchild Hannah Rose Asby.
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his daughters, Cheryl Boulware (Rob) and Sheila Cheatham (Jeff); his grandchildren, Justin Cheatham (Hayley), Matthew Cheatham (Amanda), Shane Boulware, Shae Asby (Luke) and Seth Boulware; his great grandchild Gunnar Cheatham; and his siblings, Bill Tanner and Hazel Baxter.
