He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger L. Laney Sr. and Addie Mae Laney Caldwell; his former wife Bettie Harrell Laney; and his brother Wallace Laney. He is survived by: his wife Karen Clayton Laney; his family-daughter Tabatha Desrosiers (Scott); and his children, John Gwyn (Heather), Roger L Laney III (Margie) and Sheila Laney Kirkland (Brad). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
