He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira S. Carter and Corene Simmons; and his siblings, Michael Carter and Laura Faye Tiller. He is survived by: his daughters, Sondra Carter (Terry) and Dianna Lynn Christian (Scotty); his sister Linda Goodson (Jimmy); and his grandchildren, Kelby Carter, Troy Carter (Lauren), Adam Mattera and Haley Warren (Sam). He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
