He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Brenda Newsome; and his sisters, Florine Pearis and Lois Holyfield. He is survived by: his girlfriend Betty Moore of Chipley; his children, Mike Newsome (Laura) of Kannapolis, NC, Lynn Purvis (Brent) of Enterprise, AL and Jason Newsome of Chipley; his siblings, Agnes Richardson of Chipley, Laverne Walters of Panama City, Billy Joe Newsome (Shannon) of Washington County, Wayne Newsome (Michelle) of Panama City and Sam Dorch (Cindy) of Chipley, FL; his brother-in-law James Holyfield of Chipley; his grandchildren, Connor (Ashlyn Purvis), Chloe (Yates Newsome), Jordan Moore and Blake (Brooke Locher); his great grandchild Holden Locher; and also, Tina Locher (Ricky) of Panama City and Kenny Moore (Sharon) of Panama City.
