He was predeceased by: his parents, John McElligott, Jr. and Teresa Hullum (Hickman); his grandson Cody McGoldrick; and his stepdaughter Mary Gay Bateham. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Jean McElligott of Chipley, FL; his children, Keith McElligott (Thomasina), Debbie Horne (Tom) and Kim Locker (Paul); and his stepchildren, Harry Hammond (Debbie) and Vanessa Strickland (Daniel).
