He was predeceased by: his wife Kelly Scism Ivey; his parents, Barbara Jean Ivey and Vernon Ivey; and his stepfather Gary Sprague. He is survived by: his children, Megan Law (Burl), Cassie Parrish and James David Ivey II; his grandchildren, Olivia, Isabel, Jordan, Jesse, Colton, Jaedyn, Raelynn and Gracelynn; his siblings, Dale Stedman (Jennifer), Jean Winters (Damon), Tori Harris (Howard) and Candi Everett (David); and his aunts, Sherry, Regina (Fred) and Mary. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Shepherd's Gate Church (1915 Ferguson Rd, Chipley, FL 32428).
