He was predeceased by: his daughter Judy Williams Hayes (Daryle); his parents, George Buford Williams and Fanny Swindle Williams; and his brothers, Erlin "Red" Williams (Jean) and Herbert Williams (Sarah).

He is survived by: his son George Alan Williams (Vicky); his grandchildren, Celena Hayes, Jesse Williams, Carly Williams, Patrick Williams (Corey Dunn) and Phillip Bunting (Angie); his great grandchildren, Alex Caudill (Taylor), Ashley Bunting, Connor Dunn and Noah Hayes-Birge; his brother Tom Williams; his siblings-in-law, Ronnie McDaniel (Dale) and Cricket McDaniel; and his wife Bonnie.

Flowers are welcomed by the family as well as donations to Gideon's Bibles and Holmes Creek Baptist Church.
